child 2 i. Maria L2 Joy was born in Maryland 1822. She married Noble Edward (Ferrell) Farrell in Bushwood, MD, April 17, 1851. Their first child (James) was born in 1844; George (N) born in 1848; Julia Ann was born in 1848; Mary J was born in 1850; Ellen was born in 1851; therefore, five children were born before the April 17, 1851 marriage license of Noble and Maria. The St Mary's County Historical Society provided some genealogy donated by George and Goldie Hayden which says that Noble first married a Maria and then married Mary Joy. There is no marriage record prior to 1851 and with the sameness of the names treats them as the same person but there is the possibility that there were two wives and Maria died in childbirth with Ellen.
