4. John Woodley3 Morgan (John Daniel Thomas2, John Daniel Thomas1) was born February 16, 1884. John died July 10, 1946 at 62 years of age. His body was interred July, 1946 in St. Josephs.

He married Mary Myrtle "Myrtie" Russell in Christ Episcopal Churhc, Chaptico, MD, October 15, 1903. Myrtie's mother was Ann Levia Morgan, a sister of her husband, so she married her first "cousin." They wer both Catholic, so they "ran off" and were married in an Episcopal Church. Information courtesy of Linda Reno, their first great grandchild.

Mary was born March 17, 1885. Mary was the daughter of John Bernard Russell and Ann Levia Morgan. At 20 years of age Mary became the mother of Blanch Leila Morgan September 9, 1905. At 21 years of age Mary became the mother of Bishop Claude Morgan March 29, 1906. At 22 years of age Mary became the mother of James Woodley Morgan January 21, 1908. At 24 years of age Mary became the mother of Joseph Johnson Morgan January 2, 1910. At 26 years of age Mary became the mother of Mary Leona Morgan February 5, 1912. At 28 years of age Mary became the mother of James Daniel "Dan" Morgan January 4, 1914. At 31 years of age Mary became the mother of Nellie May Morgan August 4, 1916. At 32 years of age Mary became the mother of John Nelson "Son" Morgan March 8, 1918. At 35 years of age Mary became the mother of Lucy Marie Morgan November 21, 1920. At 37 years of age Mary became the mother of Mamie Eileen Morgan July 5, 1922. At 37 years of age Mary became the mother of Mary Pauline Morgan July 5, 1922. At 38 years of age Mary became the mother of Mabel Ann Morgan January 30, 1924. At 39 years of age Mary became the mother of Virgina Elizabeth Morgan February 9, 1925. At 43 years of age Mary became the mother of John Woodley Morgan Jr. December 13, 1928.

At 21 years of age John became the father of Blanch Leila Morgan September 9, 1905. At 22 years of age John became the father of Bishop Claude Morgan March 29, 1906. At 23 years of age John became the father of James Woodley Morgan January 21, 1908. At 25 years of age John became the father of Joseph Johnson Morgan January 2, 1910. At 27 years of age John became the father of Mary Leona Morgan February 5, 1912. At 29 years of age John became the father of James Daniel "Dan" Morgan January 4, 1914. At 32 years of age John became the father of Nellie May Morgan August 4, 1916. At 34 years of age John became the father of John Nelson "Son" Morgan March 8, 1918. At 36 years of age John became the father of Lucy Marie Morgan November 21, 1920. At 38 years of age John became the father of Mamie Eileen Morgan July 5, 1922. At 38 years of age John became the father of Mary Pauline Morgan July 5, 1922. At 39 years of age John became the father of Mabel Ann Morgan January 30, 1924. At 40 years of age John became the father of Virgina Elizabeth Morgan February 9, 1925. At 44 years of age John became the father of John Woodley Morgan Jr. December 13, 1928. John Woodley Morgan built what is now known as "Hill's Store" in Helen, MD. This is the Hill family of Ruth Hill's husband's parents. The house still stands. He owned several hundred acres of land.

child 9 i. Blanch Leila4 Morgan was born September 9, 1905. Blanch died March 4, 1924. She married William Gorman Davis in Mt. Zion Methodist, November 21, 1921. William was born June 15, 1901. William was the son of William Edward Davis and Mary Etta Curry. William died January 20, 1971 in Baltimore, MD, at 69 years of age. At 21 years of age William became the father of Mary Louise Davis November 19, 1922. At 22 years of age William became the father of William Philip "Boy" Davis February 4, 1924. At 17 years of age Blanch became the mother of Mary Louise Davis November 19, 1922. At 18 years of age Blanch became the mother of William Philip "Boy" Davis February 4, 1924.

child 10 ii. Bishop Claude Morgan was born March 29, 1906. Bishop died November 2, 1911 at 5 years of age.

child 11 iii. James Woodley Morgan was born January 21, 1908. James died November 30, 1911 at 3 years of age.

child 12 iv. Joseph Johnson Morgan was born January 2, 1910. Joseph died December 12, 1972 at 62 years of age. He married Cora Columbia Burch in Mt. Zion Methodist, February 9, 1929.

child 13 v. Mary Leona Morgan was born February 5, 1912. Mary died November 30, 1981 at 69 years of age. She married Lewis F. Burch September 10, 1933.

child 14 vi. James Daniel "Dan" Morgan was born January 4, 1914. He married Louise Wathan May 16, 1938.

child 15 vii. Nellie May Morgan was born August 4, 1916. Nellie died July 19, 1997 in Tampa, FL, at 80 years of age. She married twice. She married Joseph Lancaster Quade October 28, 1933. She married Ralph Forrester in Washington, DC, May 19, 1944.

child 16 viii. John Nelson "Son" Morgan was born March 8, 1918. John died January 31, 1989 at 70 years of age. He married twice. He married Hazel Symington. He married Myrtle Rogers 1935.

child 17 ix. Lucy Marie Morgan was born November 21, 1920. Lucy died April 22, 1985 in Waldorf, Charles County, MD, at 64 years of age. She married twice. She married William Edwards. She married Lamar Davis.

child 18 x. Mamie Eileen Morgan was born July 5, 1922. She married Fayette Leroy Fowler May 28, 1940.

child 19 xi. Mary Pauline Morgan was born July 5, 1922. Mary died July 5, 1922 at less than one year of age.

child 20 xii. Mabel Ann Morgan was born January 30, 1924. Mabel died May 5, 1992 at 68 years of age. She married twice. She married Lawrence Lee "Tex" Patrick February 1943. She married George Llewellin December 16, 1978.

child 21 xiii. Virgina Elizabeth Morgan was born February 9, 1925. Virgina died October 6, 1926 at 1 year of age.

child 22 xiv. John Woodley Morgan Jr. was born December 13, 1928. John died January 11, 1929 at less than one year of age.
